My dog Candy has been a constant presence while I have been practising these pieces. She is often quite vocal in her appreciation, but settled down quietly for this one, so makes a guest appearance! I had already started this recording project when I first studied the B flat minor prelude and fugue, in December 2018 - in fact, it was the last set I learnt in Book 1. When I came back to it I was playing the prelude much slower, and after an initial audio recording I decided to try it more quickly which I think works better for me. I also speeded up the fugue. It is written in cut C time (2/2) and while I could convince myself that I could count very slowly, again it felt more appropriate to take it a little faster.
