This was recorded (along with the G sharp minor and A major and minor preludes and fugues) on a sunny but also rather cold February morning. It was one of the easier preludes and fugues to learn but I found it very difficult to record a version that was reasonably accurate – which could have been due to cold fingers at first! My original intention, of revisiting each work at least three times, has been modified as I am moving house this year, and want to complete Book 1 before the move. I first learnt this in 2017.
